The Irish Chamber of Commerce (Singapore)
The Irish Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) is a network of business professionals whose aim is to strengthen business connections in Singapore, and between Ireland and Singapore. The Chamber has an extensive reach and while there is a select committee focus on four core areas, people representing all sectors in Singapore are members of the Irish Chamber. These sectors include financial services and banking, medical, food, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, information communication technology and construction services. The Chamber is also supported by a range of sponsors in the region.
The Irish Chamber has an active calendar of events, holding monthly networking events, and a number large scale industry specific events during year. These events are opportunities for Chamber members to network and meet like minded professionals in Singapore, while gaining insightful industry knowledge.
The Irish Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) also partners with other International Chambers of Commerce here in Singapore, partnering on events and often offering member rates for other International Chamber events.
The Irish Chamber also partners with external organisations for major events, past partnerships including Food Industry Asia, the Economic Society of Singapore and the American Association of Singapore. In late 2013 the Chamber also embarked on a new Young Professionals in Singapore network, a growing community of young professionals who are interested in furthering their careers and meeting like minded individuals. This group organizes regular Young Professionals events and works as a platform for the younger professionals to engage with the more experienced, and senior members of our Chamber. You can follow what’s happening with this group on their Facebook Page. The Chamber has long been recognised as the leading business forum for Irish professionals working in the Singapore region with a growing membership of individual and corporate members. You can view the benefits of Chamber membership and join today on our Membership Page. Email Lorna.
When Alder Capital, the Irish based currency fund manager, was looking for insight into potential clients in Singapore, we were introduced by the Irish Chamber to senior figures in the financial sector who’s guidance was invaluable. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a network.

Message from the President
Welcome you to the website of The Irish Chamber of Commerce (Singapore). From modest beginnings as the Irish Business Association in 1990s, the Irish Chamber has developed into a valuable business network of professionals and companies in Singapore dedicated to strengthening business connections between Singapore and Ireland.
The Irish business community in Singapore is thriving. Our members lead dynamic new start-up companies as well as large multinationals covering the region from Singapore. From technology, engineering and ‘food pharma’ to real estate, finance and law, our Chamber membership is drawn from across the Irish community and the many in Singapore who have connections with Ireland and the Irish.
We host business and social networking events and are fortunate to have the active support of our Patron, the Irish Ambassador to Singapore and his team. We recently organised a survey of Irish parents’ attitudes to sending their children to university in Ireland. We made a submission to the Department of Foreign Affairs for their new Asia Pacific and Americas strategy in December. We met with Mr Eoghan Murphy TD, Junior Minister in the Department of Finance, to discuss Brexit and how to strengthen Ireland’s appeal to international financial institutions. We arranged the successful ‘Women in Business’ forum in October, the second annual Irish Real Estate Investment Forum in Singapore in March and the third annual Singapore Ireland Golf Invitational in November.
You are welcome to join us and contribute. The Chamber is always open to new members and Lorna Connelly, our full-time Executive Director, and I look forwards to welcoming you.
Conor McCoole, President 2015
