Thursday marks the 237th year of American independence and nicely coincides with the reopening of the Statue of Liberty, after Sandy. Here are some of The Core’s suggestions for the different activities and events happening this 4th of July weekend. Disclaimer: this blog post was written by a Brit, I know so hilarious, how contradictory? Anyhow enjoy your Independence Day (no, not the movie with Will Smith). Take advantage of what this great city has to offer, applicable for long time residents and visitors alike.

Firework? Fireworks? FIREWORKS!

What would the 4th of July be without fireworks? Well, it would be a whole lot less exciting…and noisy. Here are some of the best places in the city to watch Fireworks.
