Conall McDevitt has 20 years’ experience of strategic communications, politics and public affairs in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Brussels. He served as the Social Democratic and Labour Party’s Director of Communications during the Good Friday Agreement talks in Northern Ireland, as a special adviser to the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development during the first power-sharing government, and as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and a member of the SDLP’s leadership team. As an MLA in Northern Ireland, he led on Health, Education, Reconciliation and International Development and North – South policy for the SDLP. He also served on the Northern Ireland Policing Board.
Conall has also held senior leadership roles at Fleishman-Hillard and was Managing Director (Northern Ireland) of Weber Shandwick. He has worked across a wide range of industries including finance, innovation policy, energy, agri-food, bioscience and extractives.
