Frances Ruane, Director of the Economic, Social and Research Institute, Ireland, will join the Irish Chamber of Commerce, on Tuesday morning, January 20th for a breakfast discussion on Ireland’s recovery – is it real?
FRANCES RUANE
Professor Frances Ruane is Director of the ESRI. She is currently a member of the Commission of the National Pensions Reserve Fund, the Economic Advisory Group in Northern Ireland and the Council of Economic Advisors in Scotland. She is an Honorary Professor at the Department of Economics at Trinity College, where she worked prior to joining the ESRI.
Frances has served on various national boards including the Abbey Theatre, IDA, Forfás, Bord Gais, the Higher Education Authority and the Health Research Board. She has published extensively, especially in the fields of international economic and industrial development. Her research interests are in international trade, innovation and industrial policy.
