Message from the President of the Irish Chamber of Commerce Singapore
Thank you for your support, energy and ideas this year. Partnership with our members, sponsors, the Embassy of Ireland, Irish trade agencies, societies and sports clubs is incredibly important. Amongst the challenges this year has brought, it also brought the opportunity to spread our wings and form closer relationships with fellow Irish Chambers of Commerce into the Asia Pacific region and connect with expanding companies, business and political leaders in Ireland. Now more than ever, we need to stay closely connected , share ideas and be a united and globally minded "Team Green".
I wish to personally thank His Excellency Pat Bourne, Aislinn Dwyer, Deputy Head of Mission and the incredible team at Ireland House, for their continued support and event collaboration this year. Our Executive Director, Benita Meagher has done an outstanding job generating new ideas with a fresh approach to expanding the scope of the chamber and really putting us on the map in the Asia Pacific region. I'm extremely proud of the board that we have going into next year, we are diverse in gender, industry representation and mindset, which will be reflected in the events and initiatives that we will run in 2021 .
We are part of a broader network with the European Chamber of Commerce, the practical implementation of the EU Singapore Free Trade Agreement and the topic of sustainability will be key themes for 2021 .
I hope you take some well deserved time off as we go into year end and look forward to seeing you next year. Feel free to reach out to discuss new initiatives or event ideas, the virtual door is always open president@irishchamber.org.sg
