More Than a Golf Day: The People Behind the Day

The Singapore–Ireland Golf Day may have golf in the name, but anyone who has joined us over the years knows that the day is about much more than what happens on the course.

Our 12th Annual Singapore–Ireland Golf Day, held at Warren Golf & Country Club on Friday, 18 September, brought together 36 teams from across our membership, partner network and the wider Irish and Singapore business communities.

For us, one of the best parts of the day is seeing the connections that happen along the way.

Bringing Our Community Together

Some of our golfers have been joining the event for years. Others were attending their first Chamber event.

Across the day, we saw colleagues playing together, new teams joining us, old friends reconnecting and – importantly – plenty of people being introduced for the first time.

Four hours on a golf course gives people a very different opportunity to get to know one another than a traditional networking event, and those conversations continued long after the final putt.

By the time everyone came together at Tee Gardens for our evening reception and dinner, golfers were joined by sponsors, partners, Chamber members and guests for the second half of the day.

It’s this mix of people that makes the Golf Day such a special event for the Chamber.

Team Ireland

We were particularly honoured to welcome Ambassador of Ireland to Singapore, Damien Cole, alongside Deputy Head of Mission Graham Hartnett and Second Secretary Charlie Swords.

Ambassador Cole joined our members and guests throughout the evening before presenting the prizes to our winning teams.

The support we receive from the Embassy and across Team Ireland extends far beyond individual events, and having that support visible to our members and wider community is something we greatly value.

We were also delighted to have representatives from Enterprise Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland with us as part of the evening.

Our Sponsors and Partners

The people behind our sponsor organisations are equally important to the day.

Many joined us on the course, came along for the evening or spent time meeting our members and guests.

That engagement is exactly what we want Chamber partnerships to create. Sponsorship provides vital support for the event, but we also want it to provide opportunities for our partners to build relationships, increase their visibility and become part of the community around the Chamber.

This year, close to 30 organisations supported the Golf Day in some form, from event and hole sponsorship to prizes, hospitality, activations, photography and other contributions.

We are incredibly grateful to every one of them.

The People Behind the Scenes

A Golf Day of this size also involves a lot of people working behind the scenes.

From the team at Warren Golf & Country Club managing the course, hospitality and evening event, to our Chamber Board members and volunteers helping with registration and throughout the day, there are many hands involved in making everything run smoothly.

Our thanks to everyone who gave their time, answered last-minute questions, moved things around, welcomed guests, solved problems and helped us deliver the day.

Thank You for Being Part of It

Ultimately, the success of the Singapore–Ireland Golf Day comes down to the people who take part.

Thank you to every golfer, sponsor, partner, guest, volunteer and supporter who joined us this year.

The golf provides the reason to get everyone together. The conversations, introductions, friendships and connections that come from it are what make the day worthwhile.

We hope you enjoy some of our favourite photos of the people who made the 2026 Singapore–Ireland Golf Day such a memorable one.
